Epiduo Gel 15g (Galderma)

Epiduo is a white to pale yellow opaque gel widely used to treat mild to moderate acne in people over the age of 9. It contains Adapalene 0.1% ( a relative of tretinoin) and benzoyl peroxide 2.5%. Adapalene increases cell turnover, unblocking pores and reducing oil production whilst benzoyl peroxide kills the bacteria causing the acne under the skin.

It takes a minimum of 4 weeks to start working and the full effects can be seen after 2 to 4 months. It is manufactured by Galderma. Here at Relimeds we can supply the same Epiduo made by Galderma at a much lower cost. Unlike many drugs manufactured in India it also comes with a leaflet.

Possible Side Effects

These are usually transient and peak in the first week of use and then subside.

Cautions

Do not use in pregnancy. Suitable contraception must be used. The progesterone only pill is not considered effective enough.

Avoid

The eyes and mouth

Excessive exposure to sunlight

Sunbeds

Using on damaged or broken skin

It will bleach clothes and bed clothes.

How to use

Apply a thin layer at night.
