Eflora Cream – Vaniqa

Vaniqa is the brand name for eflornithine 11.5% cream. It was originally made by Almiral Ltd but now many generics are available. It is licensed for use in female facial hirsutism, excess hair and can be used alongside laser hair removal.

We stock a Sun Pharmaceuticals product, Eflora 13.9% cream 15g. This formulation is easily absorbed and make up can be applied after 5 minutes over the top of it.

Dose: Apply a thin layer twice a day.

How soon after application can I wash my face?

You can wash your face 4 hours after applying generic Vaniqa.

I have been using generic Vaniqa for 4 months and it has not worked, what should I do?

If Eflora has not worked after 4 months use discontinue use as it is not effective for you.

I am having laser therapy can I use Eflora?

Yes both can be used together.

What else can I do to reduce hirsutism?

If you are obese, weight reduction can also reduce the amount of hair you have. You could consider use of orlistat.
